Square collection of beautiful photos
Artist's Comments
She walks through the beautiful charred rooftop landscape. While destroyed by a fierce fire nearly 4 years ago, plant life is beginning to grow from the ash.

Critiques
Vision
This piece to me shows that life is growing in a place where tragedy has occurred. The title describes the above idea, but the fact that you captured growing life in this piece just elaborates upon it.
Originality
Though I haven't critiqued photography before, I really like the location of the focal point; it makes me look at the whole picture as my eyes head towards the end of the biulding. I end up getting a really good look at the dilapidated building and the plants growing. I like the angle because it's a different approach. I also like the model's expression, her frustration. Its almost an expression of "What has happened to this place?"
Technique
Once again, I'm not a photographer myself so I can't offer much on this stand point. I love the focal point in the back, and I like how this shot incorporates everything in the image; the plants, the building, the model, and also the way the light hits the building. Once again, I think your title works very well with the lighting here; the light here to me represents recovery in a natural way.
Impact
I think the overall image works very well with the title. A 'Beautiful Holocaust' had made me thought of how well those two words go together to describe this picture, as well as how the picture reflects on the title.
The only thing I was unsure about was the model; what was she glaring at? Or is she just angry at what happened here. I guess that's just apart of the photo and it's impact.
