The last of a dying breed. GP40FH-2 #4141 waits on Track 7 for a crew. For those curious, this particular rebuild uses a GP40 frame and cab with the wide-body cowl of an F45.

It's hard to call these a good thing. When they where new they where OK I guess, but they have been run into the ground, and hard.

I've got a feeling that there are way too many engines going out of service at the moment... Of course, it's a continous process normally, but still, I hear from other countries were diesel services have been completely stopped in some regions [link] Around here, I can check the internet for engines that I shot sometime being towed to some other place after being replaced by new EMUs, being used for whatever purpose until their inspection would have to be renewed. After that, they'll probably come back here [link] :(
