Those are definitely an interesting cross of locomotive. But like all good things, it comes to an end.
It's hard to call these a good thing. When they where new they where OK I guess, but they have been run into the ground, and hard.

I've got a feeling that there are way too many engines going out of service at the moment... Of course, it's a continous process normally, but still, I hear from other countries were diesel services have been completely stopped in some regions [link] Around here, I can check the internet for engines that I shot sometime being towed to some other place after being replaced by new EMUs, being used for whatever purpose until their inspection would have to be renewed.
