It's stuff like this that keeps me interested in my home state. There's so much beauty in grit like this. I don't know why I love decaying warehouses so much, but there's something about the craftsmanship, maybe, that makes exploring them so much fun.
Anyway, this is a wonderfully framed shot. It's nice and level, which accentuates the skewed effect that occurs due to the left window being open. Lesser photographers would have rushed or worried too much about centering the frame like that (a funny thing about the rules of photography that people often forget is that they're guidelines- not absolutes and that breaking them can often result in some pretty striking shots). Having a nice, well-definined line down the middle really brings out the asymmetry.
Speaking of symmetry, the exposure on this shot is really fantastic. There's a pretty huge range of light, but you balanced it nicely. It's easy to forget that there's a whole world outside of a dirty window. You did a nice job at not overexposing the panes or underexposing the exterior in order to showcase the grit of the structure.
Cool.

Wow! Thanks a lot for what could be the most in-depth and full comment I've ever received!

I love exploring the modern industrial ruins of this state. There is so much left behind, from a tiny one to two story business to a massive multi-story industrial complex littered with all kinds of hallways, basements, office rooms, etc. Factories always have some of the best indirect light I've ever shot in, and it only gets better if it's an over casted day so the whole place is pull of invisible light.

Anyways, again thanks for the +fav and the very in depth words. They are highly appreciated! New Jersey FTW! :w00t:

When I first happened upon this I thought it a collection of little photographs made into a sort of mosaic. I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't. This is a wonderful capture, one that truly showcases what Jersey is all about. Gritty, urban, and beautifully picturesque.
